Talk about a difficult decision you have taken in your life

Talk about a difficult decision you have taken in your life. You should say: what the decision was why it was a difficult decision how you decided Last year I had a serious knee accident. I went to the doctor to get an MRI. The doctor suggested to do surgery but I need to choose what kind of surgery I want to do. One is just to remove the tear of the cartilage inside my knee and the other is to do a cartilage transplant. The latter is supposed to be more effective but I will be unable to walk and work for 4 to 6 months. In the end I decided to do the first one. It was a difficult decision. I seek help from different doctors. I talked to my wife and to my parents. I had to weigh the pros and cons. I had to study the risks of the operation. Talk about a mistake that you made as a child. Please say – What was the mistake? – Where and when did you do it? – What did you learn from it? When i was young i had a fight with my brother about something. We are at our home in Manila, Philippines, playing with toys we created ourselves made from wood. I purposely broke his toy into pieces. He got very angry because he spend hours building the toy from different pieces of small wood. He told my parents about it and as a punishment I got grounded and cannot go outside the house to play with my friends. I learned that you should not destroy things that are very important to a person because it will severely hurt their feelings. Discussion – What kind of mistakes do children make in school work? – Do you think children should be allowed to make mistakes? – Do you think parents make mistakes too? – Do you think it is in human nature to conceal one’s shortcomings? Children make mistakes all the time in school because they do not follow the instructions. Sometimes in exams, activities and sports they just jump into it even without reading and understanding what to do and how to do it. I supposed so. It is inevitable to make mistakes, but make sure that the child will learn from it. The child should understand what is right and what is wrong so he or she would never repeat the same mistake. You recently discovered that there are plans to build a new airport in your area and you are not happy with it. Write a letter to the local authority and say: – How did you get to know about the plans? – What problems will your neighbourhood face? – Suggest possible solutions to those problems. Good Day, I heard about the proposal of a new airport near our neighbourhood. I strongly detest about it. If the plan to build the airport is approved,

Someone's apartment

Someone's apartment I will try to describe the apartment where I live. Our apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living room and a small kitchen. My wife and I are occupying the master bedroom and we rented out the other bedroom to one of our friends. Our apartment is near the city center. But it is a shoebox type of apartment, meaning the floor area of the flat is relatively smaller compared to typical houses or condominiums in Singapore. Talk about an intelligent person that you know. I remember one of my professor when I was studying in the University. He was a physics teacher. We became friends in school because we used to play basketball together during free time. He recently finished his Phd in Physics, and he published many scientific journals and articles internationally. What is the best way to educate children? I believe that a child's education starts at home. Parents should be able to teach their children good values

Write a letter to a rental agency

Imagine you are going to an English speaking country to live. Write a letter to a rental agency. In your letter say – what type of a house you need. – what the house size should be – in what area should it be located Dear Michael, I am planning to get a 1 bedroom flat. Size should be at least 50 square meters and the bedroom should be at least 20 square meters. I hope that the flat that I will be renting is fully furnished, complete with refrigerator, washing machine, bed mattress, tables and television. I want the house near the city center since I will be commuting from the house to work. But the environment should be quiet and comfortable because I will be living with my wife and 2 kids. I also prefer living near the public facilities such as the gym and the swimming pool. If you can find a house near an elementary school, do inform us because one of our child will start schooling next semester. Please get a price equal or less than the market value. I assume it would be expensive as it is near the city. Thank you very much.

Yours truly, Rafael *important, valuable, powerful, significant, influence, consequence Some people believe that teaching children at home is best for a child’s development while others think that it is important for children to go to school. Discuss the advantages of both methods and give your own opinion. One advantage of learning at home is that the teacher would be more focused on the child unlike in a classroom where one teacher would need to handle multiple students. The child at home would get more attention, hence improving his ability to learn faster. The advantage of the classroom type of education is that aside from the knowledge the child would get from the teacher, a child could also gain social interactions from other students. This experience is important and would teach the child how to handle different people in the future. I personally believe that schooling that happens inside the four corners of the classroom is valuable to a child's education. It will definitely prepare the child to the real world in general. The child would meet actual people, enemies and friends which would influence the child's attitude and decision making.
